Men's T/F Set for Larry Ellis Invitational and Virginia Challenge

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's track and field looks to carry its momentum into two meets this weekend, splitting the squad for the Larry Ellis Invitational at Princeton and the Virginia Challenge at UVA. Both meets are set for Friday, April 20 - Saturday, April 21.
RU'S LAST TIME OUT
Last weekend, Rutgers claimed the 2018 Outdoor Metropolitan Championship, capturing seven individual event titles and 10 additional top three finishes to dominate the field.
Senior Rudy Winkler (hammer), freshman Patrick Walsh (10,000m), sophomore Tobi Tella (long jump), senior Matt Krezmer (javelin), sophomore Jason Schweizer (800m), and freshman Edwyn Pierre (110m and 400m hurdles) all placed first in their respective events.
Meanwhile, at the Tennessee Relays, freshman Taj Burgess claimed title in the 400m with an improved time of 46.23. Classmate Boaz Madeus added a top-three finish of his own in the 400m hurdles, besting his time with a 52.26 result to finish third.
