#NFLKnights: Nine Land Spots with Teams after 2018 NFL Draft

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers Football class of 2018 is well represented in the National Football League after the 2018 NFL Draft, held from April 26-28 in Dallas. Defensive end Kemoko Turay was selected in the second round (No. 52 overall) by the Indianapolis Colts, while defensive tackle Sebastian Joseph was chosen in the sixth round (No. 195 overall) by the Los Angeles Rams. Rutgers had a player taken in one of the top three rounds in eight of last 12 drafts with Turay becoming the 12th in that span, while the Joseph pick made it the seventh in the past 12 years that multiple players were taken in a single NFL Draft.
In addition, running back Gus Edwards signed as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens and six additional Scarlet Knights earned invitations to rookie minicamps with their respective teams.

Kemoko Turay, Defensive End – Indianapolis Colts (Round 2, Pick 52): Turay recorded a career-best 65 tackles in 2017, with 52 versus the run, eight against the pass and five on sacks. He accumulated 4.0 sacks overall with a team-leading 7.0 tackles-for-loss. Turay played in 44 games during his time at Rutgers and finished his career with finished with 15.5 sacks as a Scarlet Knight, registering 7.5 in his rookie season to earn Freshman All-America honors.#NFLKnights ??????????? pic.twitter.com/lOtaVDOt7Y

Sebastian Joseph, Defensive Tackle – Los Angeles Rams (Round 6, Pick 195): Joseph started all 12 games at nose tackle this season and finished his career playing in 49 consecutive games and 50 overall. The defensive lineman totaled 41 tackles as a senior with a career-high seven in the win over Maryland. He also had 4.5 tackles-for-loss, 1.5 sacks, one pass batted down, one forced fumble, one blocked field goal. Gus Edwards, Running Back – Baltimore Ravens (Undrafted Free Agent): A graduate transfer from the University of Miami, Edwards started all 12 games at running back in his lone season with the Scarlet Knights in 2017, earning Honorbale Mention All-Big Ten accolades. Edwards led the team with 713 rushing yards, 816 all-purpose yards and seven total touchdowns (six rushing, one receiving) in 2017. — Rutgers Football (@RFootball) April 29, 2018Ryan Anderson, Punter – New England Patriots (Rookie Minicamp Invite): Previously named the Eddleman-Fields Punter of the Year as the Big Ten's top punter, Anderson was the first Scarlet Knight to be a First Team All-Big Ten member in both the coaches' and media vote and was also a member of the Associated Press First Team All-Big Ten. Anderson paced the league and ranked No. 13 nationally with an average of 44.4 yards per attempt to establish a single-season program record. A member of the Ray Guy Award watch list, he booted 27 attempts at least 50 yards and seven of 60 or more yards, including a 70-yard kick at Indiana that ranks as the fifth-longest in school history. Anderson also pinned 20 inside the 20-yard line and helped RU improve 82 spots in the national rankings in net punting from a season ago.
— Rutgers Football (@RFootball) April 30, 2018Kyle Bolin, Quarterback – Philadelphia Eagles (Rookie Minicamp Invite): A graduate transfer from the University of Louisville, Bolin appeared in six games with five starts for Rutgers in 2017 and led the team with 711 passing yards on 73 completions to go along with three touchdown passes. Voted a team captain this past season by his teammates, Bolin made a statement in his Scarlet Knight debut as he completed 24 passes for 178 yards and two touchdowns against No. 7 Washington in the season opener. Bolin played in 23 career games between his time at Louisville and Rutgers, tossing for 2,905 yards and 16 touchdowns.
— Rutgers Football (@RFootball) April 29, 2018Janarion Grant, Wide Receiver – Baltimore Ravens (Rookie Minicamp Invite): Grant finished his collegiate career first in program history in kickoff return yards (2,857), third in all-purpose yards (4,851), fourth in punt return yards (588) and left tied for the NCAA all-time lead for combined kick return touchdowns (five kickoff, three punt). Grant totaled 100 career plays gaining 20 or more yards, and closed out his senior season in 2017 ranked third on the team with 600 all-purpose yards to go along with two touchdowns (one receiving, one rushing). Grant was a two-time second-team all-conference selection and totaled 14 touchdowns during his time "On the Banks".
— Rutgers Football (@RFootball) April 29, 2018Robert Martin, Running Back – New York Giants (Rookie Minicamp Invite): Martin finished his career ranked 10th in program history with 2,256 career rushing yards, seventh with an average of 5.04 yards per carry and totaled 18 career touchdowns for Rutgers. Martin appeared in 46 games during his four collegiate seasons and led the program in rushing yards as a sophomore and junior. As a senior in 2017, Martin rushed for 434 yards on 99 carries with three touchdowns.
— Rutgers Football (@RFootball) April 29, 2018Dorian Miller, Offensive Lineman – Atlanta Falcons (Rookie Minicamp Invite): A 2017 tean captain, Miller started along the offensive line in 34 career games during his time at Rutgers, earning honorable mention All-Big Ten accolades as a senior in 2017. Miller was also awarded the David Bender Trophy this past season, given to the top offensive lineman on the team. In 2017, Miller was a part of a unit that allowed just 1.5 sacks per game, tied for first in the Big Ten Conference. In four seasons, Miller played in 38 career games.
Myles Nash, Defensive End/Tight End – Indianapolis Colts (Rookie Minicamp Invite): Nash played in 33 games during his four seasons at Rutgers, including 24 consecutive appearances as a junior and senior. In his final collegiate season, Nash played both ways for the Scarlet Knights as he earned three starts at tight end and appeared in 10 contests at defensive end.
