Women's T/F Competes at Sam Howell Invite on Friday

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's outdoor track and field team is back to action on Friday with the Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton University at Weaver Stadium. Originally a two-day meet, the schedule has been condensed to take place all on Friday due to impending weather.
LAST TIME OUT
The Scarlet Knights earned two individual top 10 finishes and set a school record in the steeplechase at the Pepsi Florida Relays. The meet featured seven nationally ranked teams.
Senior Bria Saunders placed 10th in the 200m in 25.18, while junior Oniesha Clarked landed in 10th place in the long jump with a distance of 5.78m (18' 11.75").
Additionally, the distance medley relay team of freshmen Kaitlyn Bragen and Dakota Gerges along with junior Jenna Sobieski `and sophomore Nadia Saponara took eighth with a time of 11:59.62.
In the steeplechase, redshirt freshman Lou Mialhe set a new Rutgers benchmark in the event. She collected a time of 11:15.52 to best the previous record of 11:18.74 set by Danielle Patoir at the Larry Ellis Invitational hosted by Princeton in 2005.

Oniesha Clarke's PR of 11.76 in the 100m set in a first place finish at the Bulls Invitational currently places her seventh in the Big Ten.
Bryanna Grant's outdoor best of 12.49m (40' 11.75") set at Bulls Invite two weeks ago lands her 17th in the East Region and third in the Big Ten.
In the high jump, Rhonda Rogombe is 24th in the East Region and ninth in the Big Ten with a height of 1.73m (5'8") from the Bulls Invitational two weeks ago, while teammate Courteney Campbell's season opening leap of 1.70m (5' 7) at the Yellow Jacket Invitational is currently 10th among Big Ten high jumpers.
