EAST LANSING, Mich. – Women's golf is 13th with a 605 (306-299) total after the initial two rounds of the 35th annual Mary Fossum Invitational, played Saturday at Forest Akers West Golf Course. The Scarlet Knights tallied 108 pars and 17 birdies on day one against a strong field that features four top 30-ranked programs and seven teams that earned berths to the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
"Our scoring improved in the afternoon, but we still left some shots out there," said Head Coach Kari Williams. "Our goal for the final round is to compete for all 18 holes and to finish strong. We have a few teams within reach on the leaderboard for us to try and catch tomorrow."
