
MidKnight Madness to Feature A Boogie wit da Hoodie

PISCATAWAY – The Rutgers men's and women's basketball programs will host MidKnight Madness featuring Atlantic Records recording artist A Boogie wit da Hoodie on Friday evening, Oct. 12, at the College Avenue Gymnasium (The "Barn") in New Brunswick. Tickets for the Rutgers University student-only event will be available via the ticket claim link, which will go live on Thursday (Sept. 27) at 9 a.m.
Scheduled from 7:30-9 p.m., MidKnight Madness featuring A Boogie wit da Hoodie will include player introductions and slam dunk and shooting competitions before concluding with a performance by the Bronx native, whose song "Drowning" rose to No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Capacity at the historic venue is 1,500. Rutgers students must show a valid student ID with their ticket to gain entry. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Redshirt sophomore Peter Kiss will look to defend his slam dunk title after besting Metropolitan Rookie of the Year Geo Baker in the championship last year. Redshirt sophomore Arella Guirantes will work to capture the shooting competition title after advancing to last year's final.
Men's basketball fans have the opportunity to support the Scarlet Knights 17 times at the RAC, comprised of 10 conference contests, as well as multiple games against regional hardwood foes. Five Big Ten programs that have won NCAA men's basketball titles will compete in Piscataway. Fans can secure flex ticket plans and 2018-19 season tickets online, or by calling 866-445-GORU (4678).
