Women’s Soccer and No. 22 Wisconsin Play to Scoreless Draw

MADISON, WIS. – In a tight defensive battle, Rutgers women's soccer and No. 22 Wisconsin played to a 0-0, double overtime draw on Friday evening in Madison.
The Scarlet Knights moved to an overall record of 6-1-4 and Big Ten mark of 2-0-2. The Badgers moved to 8-2-2 overall and 2-1-1 in league action.
QUICK STATS
Freshman goalkeeper Meagan McClelland notched the fourth shutout of her career and first in conference play, recording a save in the match. Junior midfielder Nicole Whitley led RU with two shots on goal in the match.
Wisconsin's Jordyn Bloom registered three saves in the stalemate, while Cameron Murtha posted the team's only shot on goal.
Rutgers edged Wisconsin, 8-7, in shots, including a 3-1 lead in shots on goal.
THE MATCH

Returning from the break, RU rattled off five shots to lead the offensive attack, but UW's goalkeeper Bloom responded with five saves in the second period.
