Murphy Leads Men’s XC with Top 10 Finish at Fordham Fiasco

Scarlet Knights finish fourth in field
BRONX, N.Y. – Rutgers men's cross country opened its 2018 season at the Fordham Viasco at Van Cortlandt Park on Saturday morning. RU finished fourth in the field with a team average time of 27:25.15.
Senior Conor Murphy led the Scarlet Knights with a top 10 finish, crossing the line ninth at the 26:34.40 mark.
Sophomore Patrick Walsh followed in 19th with a time of 27:05.04. Classmate Andrew Comito posted a time of 27:25.16 to wrap up the top 25 finishers.
Sophomores Genaro Anzalone (27:49.88) and Billy Hill (28:40.82) charted nearby for RU. Freshmen Will Berger (28:11.25), Jonathan Torres (28:14.84), Younass Barkouch (28:15.85), Cole Hindley (28:18.74), and Cade Hindley (28:21.49) all made their debuts for the Scarlet Knights.
