
No. 19 Field Hockey Hosts Pride Game Friday

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – No. 19 Rutgers field hockey will host Pride Game for the game this Friday against Indiana. The game will honor National Coming Out Day, which is the same day.
Rutgers is partnering with the Center for Social Justice Education as well as LGBT Communities from across campus. The organization provides educational and social programs, leadership development, and policy consultation for LGBTQIA and ally students, faculty, staff, and community members.
Both Transgender and Pride Flags will be given out at the game. Mulitple different student organizations will be tabling at the event for spectators to receive information about the LGBT Communities on campus.
"We are honored that field hockey will be hosting the first ever Rutgers Athletics pride game," head coach Meredith Civico said. "The Rutgers Center for Social Justice and Education does an amazing job and we are delighted to partner with them to bring awareness and show support for our LGBTQ community."
