COLUMBUS, Ohio – No. 18 Rutgers field hockey earned its first conference road win of the season, as the Scarlet Knights (7-6, 2-3 Big Ten) took down No. 21 Ohio State (6-7, 1-4 Big Ten) by a 1-0 score.Â
Katie Larmour scored the game's only goal and
Gianna Glatz had five saves in the shutout effort. OSU entered the game fourth in the nation in scoring average at 3.5 goals per game, and the Scarlet Knights held them scoreless for the first time this year.Â

Rutgers tallied first, scoring the opening goal of the game in the first stanza. RU capitalized off their initial penalty corner opportunity, with
Katie Larmour knocking the pass from
Annie Walsh. Â The Scarlet Knights held that 1-0 lead into halftime. Â
The home team pressed for an equalizer in the second half, but RU stood strong to preserve the shutout.
Gianna Glatz made four of her five saves in the second half to secure the 1-0 win.Â
