ABOUT RUTGERS

The Scarlet Knights enter the weekend with momentum following a successful two game conference road trip. For the second time since joining the Big Ten, RU won two games in a road weekend against conference foes, winning 1-0 Friday at No. 21 Ohio State, then concluding the trip with a 3-2 win Sunday at Michigan State.

The wins pushed their overall record to 8-6, and into a tie for fifth in the league with a 3-3 conference mark. The team has three games left on the season schedule, concluding the year at Penn State next Sunday following these two road games.

Katie Larmour had the lone goal of the day in Friday's 1-0 win, her team-leading sixth of the year. Goalkeeper Gianna Glatz had 16th career shutout in the effort. The win represented RU's third ranked victory of the season. The team now ranks in the top-25 in the nation in save percentage (18th) and goals-against-average (22nd).

SCOUTING MICHIGAN

Michigan enters the matchup at 12-3 overall and at 5-1 in Big Ten conference play. The Wolverines have won 11 of their past 12 games, the lone loss in that span a shootout loss at Northwestern.

The team is stout defensively, ranking second in the nation in goals-against-average (0.7) and shutouts per game (0.6). Goalkeeper Anna Speiker has a .711 save percentage. Offensively, five different players have at least 15 points, with Megan Dowthwiate holding the team lead with seven goals and sharing the team lead with 17 points with Kathryn Peterson (five goals, seven assists).

Rutgers is looking for its first all-time win against Michigan in the ninth lifetime matchup.

SCOUTING TEMPLE

Temple enters the weekend at 5-8 overall, and have lost six of their past seven games. Dani Batze leads the team with five goals and 10 points on the year. Goalkeeper Cristina Carotenuto has a 1.70 goals-against-average and .681 save percentage. The Owls have been outscored 22-15 on the year through 13 games.

Rutgers has faced Temple 36 times lifetime, with the most recent matchup coming in 2014. That is the most games that RU has played against any one team. RU will be looking to earn its first win against the Owls since 2008.
