Men’s Golf Closes Fall at Grandover Collegiate

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's golf closes out the fall Sunday through Monday at the Grandover Collegiate in Greensboro, North Carolina. The 54-hole event will be played on a par-72, 7,245 yard course.

Gotterup Update
Junior Christopher Gotterup is currently the highest ranked Big Ten golfer in GolfStat's rankings (29th overall in NCAA) and the 73rd ranked American in the World Amateur Golf Association rankings (173rd overall) with a 69.92 adjusted scoring average through four fall events.
The Little Silver, New Jersey, native earned the 2019 New Jersey State Golf Association (NJSGA) Amateur Player of the Year award at the organization's banquet this past Thursday. Gotterup claimed the award after he secured individual titles at both the 99th NJSGA Open and 117th Met Amateur championships this past summer.
Gotterup was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week two weeks ago after he captured the 2019 Fighting Irish Classic with a 14-under-par 199 (68-63-68) on Oct. 8 in South Bend, Indiana. He followed that performance with a top-5 finish at the Quail Valley Intercollegiate with an 11-under-par 205 (65-71-69) from Oct. 20-21 in Vero Beach, Florida.
Last Time Out
As a team, the Scarlet Knights finished ninth at the Quail Valley Intercollegiate last weekend with a 14-under-par 850 (281-287-282) during the three-round tournament. Notre Dame captured the team title with an 821 (277-270-274), followed by South Florida (822: 268-281-273) and Memphis (824: 277-276-271). Notre Dame's Palmer Jackson won the individual title with a 16-under-par 200 (67-66-67).
