Wrestling Surpasses Season Tickets Sold Record for Fifth Consecutive Year

Scarlet Knights host six home duals in 2019-20
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – For the fifth consecutive year, Rutgers wrestling surpassed its season tickets sold record for the 2019-20 campaign. With season tickets still available until Dec. 7, 2019, the Scarlet Knights have sold 3,026 season tickets, surpassing last year's total of 3,023. It is also the second consecutive season RU has sold more than 3,000 season tickets.
The RAC has become one of the premier wrestling venues in the sport, as Rutgers enjoyed historic attendance numbers in 2018-19. The Scarlet Knights finished fifth nationally in average attendance with 5,038 fan per home dual, while 40,306 fans watched RU wrestle in Piscataway this past season, a program record.
Rutgers hosts six duals this season, beginning with a home match against Maryland on Dec. 7 for a 7 p.m. conference dual at the RAC. The Scarlet Knights will hold three home duals in January against No. 18 Cornell (Jan. 17), Indiana (Jan. 24) and Purdue (Jan. 26), followed by two in February against No. 20 Northwestern (Feb. 7) and Purdue (Feb. 14). RU also hosts the 2020 Big Ten Wrestling Championships at the RAC from March 7-8. Fans can find more information on the conference championships here.
Rutgers opened its 2019-20 home schedule with a quad sweep against LIU (43-3), Centenary (38-6) and Pitt-Johnstown (22-9) in front of 3,332 fans at the RAC.
