
Korsak Earns All-Big Ten Status

Fogg and Previlon named honorable mention; Venesky claims Sportsmanship Award
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Junior Adam Korsak of the Rutgers football team earned All-Big Ten recognition in both the coach (second team) and media (third team) vote released Tuesday on Big Ten Network. Junior Tyshon Fogg (coach and media) and fifth-year senior Willington Previlon (media) also garnered honorable mention on defense, while fifth-year senior Zach Venesky was announced as the Scarlet Knights' recipient of the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
Korsak helped reset the Rutgers net punt school record for the second-straight year with a mark of 41.5, which led the Big Ten during the regular season and ranked 17th nationally. The Aussie was one of 10 national semifinalists for the Ray Guy Award and won the Ray Guy Award Punter of the Week three times in 2019. Statistically, Korsak averaged 43.8 yards, third in program history, on 76 attempts with 31 downed inside the 20, 18 inside the 10 and nine inside the 5 with only two touchbacks. In addition, he booted 12 at least 50 yards with a long of 69 and forced 33 fair catches.
A team captain, Fogg led RU and ranked third in the Big Ten with 104 tackles this season, averaging 8.7 per game. A Scarlet Knight has now reached triple digits in each of the last 10 years. Fogg started all 12 games at middle linebacker and reached at least 11 stops five times with a high of 15 versus Boston College. Most recently at Penn State, he had 1.5 sacks for a loss of 13 yards.
Previlon started all 12 games on the defensive line in his senior season and recorded a career-high 35 tackles with 7.5 for a loss to lead the team. He picked up six tackles versus both No. 20 Minnesota and No. 10 Penn State to set new personal bests. In addition, the New Jersey native recorded two tackles-for-loss against No. 20 Iowa and Indiana and collected a sack versus Maryland.
Venesky earned captain status this season and started all 12 games at left guard. He was part of an offensive line that helped pave to the way for 271 rushing yards versus Liberty and totaled 554 total yards to beat Massachusetts. Venesky represented Rutgers football at Big Ten media day over the summer.
