Swimming & Diving Picks Up Three More Victories on Day Two of Rutgers Invite
Dec 05 | Women's Swimming & Diving
Scarlet Knights Collect Wins 50 & 500 Free and 200 Free Relay
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's swimming and diving team captured wins in the 50 and 500 freestyle and in the 200 freestyle relay on day two of the Rutgers Invitational at the Rutgers Aquatics Center on Thursday.
"Real happy with the final. I thought we dove with a lot more smarts and a little more flair in the final. Megan Demeo, not only did she almost win it, she did it with a brand new dive that we learned a week ago which really ups her degree of difficulty. That's what we are trying to do for when we get to Big Ten's to have a degree of difficulty to compete with." – Head diving coach Frederick Woodruff
Day three of the Rutgers Invitations begins with prelims in 400 individual medley, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breast and 3-meter diving. Finals get underway at 6 p.m. along with the 200 medley relay
