Scarlet Knights Up Total Victory Mark To Six With Freshman Sofia Chichaichina Collecting Her Fourth Event Win of the Meet
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Day three of the Rutgers Invitational saw the Rutgers women's swimming and diving team collect wins in the 100 butterfly and 200 free along with a trio of third-place performances.
"We come to this meet to practice getting for Big Ten's. In the morning, we've been really focusing on going out there and post those times. In the afternoon, it's really about getting your hand on the wall. I think a lot of athletes today, and even in my generation, get all caught up in the times. At finals, you just want to win the race." – Head swimming coach Jon Maccoll
The Rutgers Invitational concludes on Saturday with competition in the prelims of the 200 back, 100 free, 200 breast, 200 fly, 1650 free and platform diving at 10 a.m. Finals begin at 6 p.m. along with the 400 free relay.
