Men's Cross Country Named USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

PISCATAWAY, N.J. –The Rutgers men's cross country team was named a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Team for the 2018 season, it was announced Friday. It marks the fourth consecutive season and 11th time in the last 12 years the Scarlet Knights have garnered the recognition.
RU posted a 3.14 team grade point average in 2018 to earn the honor. To qualify, teams must carry at least a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
The members of the team include Genaro Anzalone, Younass Barkouch, Will Berger, Andrew Comito, Billy Hill, Cade Hindley, Cole Hindley, Nicholas Hutchison, Dom Munson, Conor Murphy, Cole Pschunder, Jonathan Torres and Patrick Walsh.
The success in the classroom also translated to five Scarlet Knights collecting Academic All-Big Ten honors for Fall 2018, an honor for achieving an individual GPA of 3.0 or higher in at least their second-year at the institution. The recipients included Comito, Munson, Murphy, Pschunder, and Walsh.
