Koprivova, Stoppa and Bertotto win two events apiece
LINCOLN, Neb. (Feb. 2, 2019) – Rutgers swimming and diving won nine events in its final dual meet of the year at Nebraska on Friday and Saturday, including two apiece by seniors Vera Koprivova and Francesca Stoppa, along with junior Francesca Bertotto.

- Event wins: Nebraska 10, Rutgers 9
- Bertotto remained undefeated in distance freestyle this season with victories in the 500 and 1650, with the mile win coming by nearly 14 seconds.
- Koprivova picked up a pair of wins in two different strokes – the 200-yard backstroke and 400-yard individual medley.
- Stoppa's hot streak continues into championship season with another sweep of the individual butterfly events.
- The 400-yard medley relay team of freshman Terka Grusova, sophomore Delaney Carey, Stoppa and junior Alexandra Fabugais-Inaba claimed victory in a thrilling race decided by 0.04 seconds.
- Junior Clare Lawlor took first in the 50-yard freestyle sprint.
- Grusova added a win in the 100-yard backstroke.
- The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Grusova, freshman Kasja Dymek, Lawlor and junior Meghan Moses were runners-up by just a half second.
- Junior Federica Greco was runner-up in the 50 Free by 0.13 seconds behind Lawlor.
- Koprivova finished second in the 100 Back by a quarter-second behind Grusova.
- Stoppa has won nine consecutive individual butterfly events dating back to Nov. 16. She has 11 events wins on the year.
- Bertotto increased her season event win total in distance freestyle to 16.
- Lawlor's win in the 50 Free was her first since Nov. 16's tri-meet against Brown and Wagner at home.
