NEW ORLEANS, LA - Rutgers tennis closed out the spring break schedule with a win against Binghamton on Friday afternoon, boosting them to an 8-5 overall record.

"It is good for us to train outside as we go into this part of our season," stated head coach Hilary Ritchie. "We were able to work on dictating more during both singles and doubles."

DOUBLES PLAY
The Scarlet Knights swept the Bearcats to start the match in doubles play. Freshmen duo Isabelle Da Silva and Kristiana Zahare, as well as, freshman Sydney Kaplan and junior Jaci Cochrane didn't allow their opponents to score a single point.

Freshman Tess Fisher and junior Kat Muzik also defeated their opponents with a closer margin of 6-4.

SINGLES PLAY
Cochrane had an impressive showing over her Bearcat opponent. She only allowed her opponent to score two points in their two sets.

For the second match in a row, Muzik rallied her way to a third set. She ultimately came out victorious after scoring 4-6, 7-6, and 11-9.
