PISCATAWAY, N.J.  – Rutgers tennis fell to No. 14 Michigan on Saturday afternoon at the East Brunswick Racquet Club. The Wolverines claimed the team doubles point and three singles matches to clinch the win.

DOUBLES PLAY
Although Michigan opened doubles play with a win at the No. 1 spot, freshmen
Sydney Kaplan and
Tess Fisher cruised to a 6-3 win over UM's Alyvia Jones and Bella Lorenzini to even the score. It marked the third straight doubles win for the pair.

In a tight match and the No. 3 spot, junior
Jaci Cochrane and freshman
Kristiana Zahare pushed UM's Giulia Pairone and Anca Craciun to the brink. The Wolverines, however, edged out an 7-6 (4) win to claim the team point and a 1-0 advantage in the match.

SINGLES PLAY
The Wolverines posted wins at the No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5 singles spots to clinch the win.

Freshman
Sydney Kaplan won her first set, 6-3, and was tied at 1-1 in the second set at the No. 4 spot when the match was finished.

At the No. 6 spot, sophomore
Isabelle Da Silva was edged 7-5 in the first set and had entered the second set.
