Women’s Lacrosse Hosts Ohio State Saturday for Senior Day

Seven graduating Scarlet Knights to be honored prior to game

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse (5-9, 0-4) plays its final home game of 2019 when it hosts Ohio State (8-7, 0-4) on Saturday in Piscataway. The Big Ten Conference matchup is slated for a noon start on BTN2Go.
 
Saturday serves as Senior Day for the Scarlet Knights, who will honor graduating student-athletes Abbey Brooks, Christine DiLullo, Allie Ferrara, Tess Howland, Devon Kearns, Amanda Romano and Regina Sharp prior to the game.
 
Last Time Out
Despite a second-half hat trick from junior Samantha Budd and a late comeback attempt, RU suffered a 12-8 loss to No. 8 Michigan last Saturday in Ann Arbor in its last time out. Down by as much as five goals in the final 30 minutes, the Scarlet Knights got the game within two before the hosts pulled away for the Big Ten Conference win.
 
Scouting Ohio State
Ohio State enters Saturday off a 12-7 home loss to No. 19 Johns Hopkins last Saturday in Co­lumbus. Liza Hernandez led the Buckeyes with five points on three assists and two goals. It was her 12th multi-point game of the season.
 
Hernandez leads the Buckeyes with 56 points and 24 assists, while Baley Parrott owns the most goals with 35. Riley Ewing owns 61 draw controls to lead OSU on the restart.
 
Jill Rizzo is the goalie of record with 167 saves, a 12.29 GAA and a .483 save percentage in 15 games this season.
 
All-Time Series
Rutgers and Ohio State are tied, 4-4, in the all-time series, with the Scarlet Knights owning a 3-1 advantage since joining the conference in 2015. Last season, OSU secured a 12-10 win over RU in Columbus despite a late comeback attempt from the visitors.
 
Naslonski within the B1G
Sophomore Taralyn Naslonski has been one of the most productive offensive threats in the conference this season. The Randolph High School product is fourth with 4.07 points-per-game, fifth with 1.36 assists-per-game and sixth with 2.71 goals-per-game.

Rutgers travels to Penn State to close out the regular season on Saturday, April 27 in State College.
