Sydney Kaplan registered her second straight Big Ten singles victory to lead Rutgers tennis at Iowa on Friday. The Scarlet Knights, however, dropped the match, 6-1, to the Hawkeyes.

DOUBLES PLAY
The duo of freshmen
Tess Fisher and Kaplan started off the contest with a win at the No. 3 doubles spot. The pair topped Iowa's Sophie Clark and Cloe Ruette by a score of 6-3.

The Hawkeyes, though, would go on to capture victories at the remaining two spots, claiming the the team doubles point and a 1-0 advantage.

SINGLES PLAY
Kaplan carried the momentum into singles action, collecting her second straight Big Ten singles win. She topped the Hawkeyes' Sophie Clark with a 3-6, 7-6, 1-0 (6) victory at the No. 4 spot.

Sophomore
Isabelle Da Silva almost came away with a win of her own at the No. 6 spot, being edged in a 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (3) match with Iowa's Danielle Burich.
