PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's lacrosse goalkeeper Max Edelmann was named an All-American, as the Inside Lacrosse Media All-Americans were revealed Sunday night on ESPNU. Edelmann was named an Honorable Mention All-American.
Edelmann, a First Team All-Big Ten goalkeeper and the Big Ten Co-Specialist of the Year, thrived as the starting goalkeeper this season as a redshirt senior. He averaged 14.69 saves per game, which led the nation, while posting a 55.8% save percentage that led the conference and was 10th nationally. The Middletown, Md. native recorded double-digit saves in every game, reaching at least 17 saves on six different occasions. A two-time Big Ten weekly award winner, he became the eighth player in Rutgers' program history to surpass 500 career saves. The team captain majored in Labor Studies and Employment Relations and is working towards a postgraduate degree.

Entering this season, Rutgers had had 213 All-Americans all-time. The full list of All-Americans from the USILA will be announced at a later date.
