Cedarstrand Named to U19 Puerto Rico Women’s Lacrosse National Team

Squad makes international debut in August

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Freshman Sarah Cedarstrand was one of 22 athletes selected to the U19 Puerto Rico Women's Lacrosse National Team. The squad makes its international debut this summer at the Federation of International Lacrosse's (FIL) Women's U19 World Championships in Peterborough, Canada.
 
The team will hold two training camps in the coming months, including one in Puerto Rico held in mid-June and one held in New Jersey in mid-July. The FIL Women's U19 World Championships will be held from Aug. 1-10.
 
Cedarstrand appeared in three games off the bench during her first collegiate season in 2019. The Ho-Ho-Kus, New Jersey, native was a four-year letterwinner at Northern Highlands, where she finished her scholastic career with 80 points on 43 goals and 37 assists to go along with 138 ground balls. A two-time all-state and all-group selection, Cedarstrand helped Northern Highlands advance to the NJSIAA North I, Group III final in 2018 as a senior.
