Rutgers Gameday Enhancements & Information: UMass

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers football begins its 2019 season when it hosts UMass on Friday at 7:15 p.m. at SHI Stadium. With the assistance of fan feedback, Rutgers Athletics has made several enhancements to the game day experience this fall, which includes the expansion of beer and wine sales and a partnership with Gourmet Dining for new food options.
Fans can also expect the following upgrades when they arrive on campus Friday night.
Enhanced Merchandise Offerings from Dyehard: Along with providing merchandise throughout SHI Stadium, Dyehard will also operate a brand new 780 sq. ft. Adidas-focused permanent store located within the RWJ Barnabas Health Athletic Performance Center once the facility opens on Sept. 12. Dyehard will also offer Rutgers apparel from brands like Southern Tide, College Vault, 47 Brand, Outerstuff for youth and a special Rutgers 150th football anniversary collection by Adidas. New collections for women will feature Pressbox, Gameday Couture and University Girl brands.
Customer Service Tents: Fully-staffed customer service tents will be located along Scarlet Knight Way near the Yellow Parking Lot as well as along Sutphen Rd across the street from the bubble.
Customer Service Window (Gate C): Located at the North Gate box office, customer service representatives will be available prior to and during each game to assist with Scarlet Memories check in, ADA requests, seat changes and any additional requests or questions. Fans inside SHI Stadium can access this window on the concourse near section 114.
Ticket Exchanges: Season ticket holders will now be able to exchange tickets for future games. Season ticket holders can swap out their seats for any other game within the same price tier as the game they cannot attend. For more information on tickets, fans can click here.
Contactless Tickets: Students will now have the ability to download their NFC-compatible claimed tickets. Students attending each game can open their ticket via Apple Wallet or Google Pay and present to the ushers at the gate.
New Rutgers Athletics App: Rutgers athletics has launched re-vamped mobile app for iPhone and Android in partnership with Sidearm Sports for 2019. The "Scarlet Knights" app features ticketing integration, enhanced content & engagement, live viewing & statistics, & provides a more immersive experience. The upgrade is available via update by current users or can be downloaded here.

- 4:10 PM – Victory Statue Unveil in the North Plaza
- 4:15 PM – Block R Party and Kids Zone Opens
- 4:50 PM – Scarlet Walk

- 6:15 PM – "First Game" Reenactment on the Practice Fields, presented by RWJBarnabas Health
- 6:55 PM – Band Show Begins

- Bag Policy: Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and approximately 12″ x 6″ x 12″, or one-gallon clear plastic bags or similar, and small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, can be taken into athletic venues. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection. Fans with prohibited bags may rent a locker at the locker truck near the Kids Chorale to store their bags. - Food and Beverage Policy: Due to Homeland Security guidelines, no outside food and beverage will be permitted into the stadium. An exception will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection at the Guest Services gates designated for this purpose.
- Prohibited Items: Prohibited items include outside food and beverages, bottles, cans, alcoholic beverages, coolers, umbrellas, noisemaking devices, balloons, laser pointers, pets (with the exception of guide dogs), balls, weapons, sticks/poles, containers, fireworks, and any other items deemed dangerous or inappropriate from being brought into the facility.
- Infants & Toddlers: Rutgers Athletics requires all patrons, regardless of age to have a ticket for all football games. The Athletic Department will allow one lap child without charge when attending an event with a ticketed adult. To obtain a complimentary lap ticket, a parent or guardian can request the ticket at the stadium's North Gate Ticket Office.

- Parking lots open 5 hours prior to kickoff.
- Day of game parking is available at the RAC (83 Rockafeller Road, Piscataway, NJ 08854) for $25 and is cash only.
- Single game parking can be bought in advance by clicking here.
- Fans who park in the Scarlet or Green lot on Busch campus are encouraged to enter the campus from River Road. Fans in all other lots on Busch campus are encouraged to enter from Route 18.
- Fans who take the train to the New Brunswick train station will have access to a shuttle from the train station to the nearest gameday shuttle station, which will transport fans to the stadium.

- The 50/50 raffle will start 3 hours prior to kickoff and conclude at the end of the third quarter. Sellers will be on foot in the lots pregame and roaming the stadium during the game, and there will be 4 kiosks to purchase 50/50 tickets from, located behind sections 101, 116, 126, and 131. The winning number will be announced during the 4th quarter. The winner does NOT need to be present to win. The winner should email 5050@scarletknights.com with a picture of their ticket to arrange to collect their prize.
