6K Race Gets Underway at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday
PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's cross country team is back in action on Saturday at the Ohio State Invitational in Columbus, Ohio with the 6K race beginning at 9 45 a.m.
| ABOUT THE MEET |
- The 6K race takes place at the cross country course at The Ohio State University Golf Club and is the same course the Scarlet Knights will run come the Big Ten Championship on Nov. 3.
- Four USTFCCCA top 30 teams will be in Saturday's field including No. 7 Michigan, No. 11 Michigan State, No. 16 Penn State and No. 21 Ohio State from the Big Ten.

- Rutgers finished fifth at the Lehigh Invitational in the field that featured four other regionally ranked teams including West Virginia (5th), Temple (6th), La Salle (8th) and host Lehigh (13th).
- Junior Olympia Martin, who led Rutgers in all six races in 2018, continued to finish at the top of the Scarlet Knight pack placing fifth overall in a time of 22:24.59
- Senior Emma Bergman was the second Scarlet Knight across the finish line for the Scarlet Knights and posted a time of 23:08.38.
- Also scoring for RU were senior Nadia Saponara (23:17.07), senior Stephanie Mauer (23:25.06) and sophomore Brooke Riedy (23:47.88).
- Junior Sara Gutter captured a new PR of 25:29.77.
