PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers football heads to Columbus this week to face its second-straight ranked opponent in No. 3 Ohio State. Kickoff from Ohio Stadium is set for Saturday at 7:40 p.m. on Big Ten Network. The Scarlet Knights enter the week ranked fourth nationally in rushing defense (79.5) and have surpassed last season's touchdown output in Big Ten play through two weeks.

The Scarlet Knights have split their first two games, starting with a 38-27 victory at Michigan State before dropping a 37-21 game versus No. 17 Indiana last Saturday at SHI Stadium. Wide receiver
Bo Melton registered two receiving touchdowns against the Hoosiers, while
Kay'Ron Adams broke off a career-long 37-yard run to the end zone. RU has posted eight touchdowns in two games, passing last season's total of six in Big Ten play.

Quarterback
Noah Vedral has accounted for four touchdowns (three passing, one rushing) in two starts, establishing his career high for completions (21) both weeks. Running back
Isaih Pacheco paces the offense in both rushing yards (85) and receptions (9).

Defensively, linebacker
Olakunle Fatukasi, who is the reigning the Bednarik Award National Player of the Week, picked up a career-high 14 tackles versus Indiana, with 2.5 for loss. He leads the team and is second in the league with 24 tackles this season.
Tyshon Fogg is right behind at 21 from his linebacker spot and needs nine more stops to reach 200 for his career. In addition,
Brendon White notched 12 tackles last time out to add to his interception and fumble recovery from week one.

• Saturday will mark the seventh meeting on the gridiron between Rutgers and Ohio State and fourth in Columbus. The Scarlet Knights' first Big Ten road game was played in Ohio Stadium in 2014.
• Last season in Piscataway, Rutgers dropped a 56-21 matchup against the second-ranked Buckeyes. Pacheco and
Johnny Langan both recorded rushing touchdowns, while Melton hauled in a passing score from Langan. OSU had entered the week ranked first in the nation in scoring defense with eight touchdowns permitted in its previous nine games.

Kay'Ron Adams (Warren),
Brendan Bordner (Columbus) and
Brendon White (Powell). White started his career at Ohio State, playing in 29 games from 2017-19 and earning 2019 Rose Bowl Defensive MVP.
