
Gymnastics 2021 Incoming Trio Ranked No. 23 Nationally

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The incoming 2021 class for Rutgers gymnastics has been ranked No. 23 in the nation by College Gym News. The program signed a strong trio to National Letter of Intents this month in Elia Aird, Jackie Manifold, and Mya Pringle.
"We are thrilled to see that our 2021 recruiting class is ranked in the top 25 nationally. We put a lot of time and thought into putting together a class that has the potential to move our program into a position where we would be competitive nationally," said head coach Umme Salim-Beasley.
"Not only are they talented, but they all possess a drive to make Rutgers Gymnastics a powerhouse program. They want to win! They all will bring with them impressive competitive accolades. They can't wait to get here to make their contributions to Rutgers. Exciting times are ahead for our program. The future looks bright!"

Elia Aird is a level 10 gymnast from Orlando, Florida and a member of Orlando Metro Gymnastics. She has qualified for states five straight years, including three times at level 10 where she has claimed first in All-Around two times (2018, 2019), first on floor twice (2018, 2019) and first on bars las year (2019). In 2019, she competed at Regionals, placing third in all-around, vault, beam and floor. Most recently, Aird advanced to the 2019 Junior Olympic Nationals, placing 14th on floor. She owns personal-best scores of 9.750 on vault, 9.850 on bars, 9.600 on beam, and 9.450 on floor.

Jackie Manifold is an Albuquerque, New Mexico, native and member of Gold Cup Gymnastics. She has competed at both the level 10 and senior elite levels. Manifold owns level 10 scores of 9.775 on vault, 9.575 on bars, 9.650 on beam, 9.625 on floor and 38.325 in all-around.

Mya Pringle also hails from Orlando, Florida and is a level 10 gymnast at Orlando Metro Gymnastics. In her first year as level 10 in 2018, Pringle placed fifth overall at states and went on to regionals. In 2019, she placed seventh overall at regionals, advancing to the Junior Olympic Nationals. Her high scores include 9.750 on vault, 9.850 on bars, 9.600 on beam, 9.450 on floor and 38.075 in all-around.
