Meet 8: Gymnastics Readies for Big Five Meet at Elevate the Stage

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers gymnastics readies for the Big Five meet on podium this Friday, Feb. 21 at Elevate the Stage in Toledo, Ohio. Competition begins at 7 p.m. ET with the Scarlet Knights beginning its rotation on bars.
FloGymnastics will provide a live stream both days with a subscription. Live results will be available and @RUGymnastics will tweet scores throughout the meet.
Rutgers will rotate with Iowa, Ohio State, No. 16 Nebraska, and No. 23 Illinois during Friday's session. Penn State, Michigan State, No. 24 Maryland, No. 7 Minnesota, and No. 9 Michigan will square off on Sunday. The Big Five meets determine the regular season champion for the conference, as well as positioning for the Big Ten Championships on March 21.
Rutgers travels to West Virginia for a tri-meet on Sunday, March 1. The meet begins at 2 p.m. ET with host WVU and Pittsburgh.

- Last weekend, Rutgers collected four event titles and a total of eight top-3 finishes at Maryland, posting a team score of 194.000.
- Senior Kaitlyn Hall posted a career-high 9.875 on vault to claim the title.
- For the second straight week, senior Shannon Farrell posted a season-best 9.875 on bars, finishing first in the event.
- Joyner placed first in the all-around with a new career-best mark of 39.350, finishing first on beam (9.925) and third on vault (9.825).
- Joyner reached a 9.9 on beam for the fifth time this season, ranking 18th in the nation on beam with an NQS of 9.882.
- Junior Belle Huang also added a career-high in all-around with a score of 39.300, finishing second in the event, second on floor (9.875), and third on vault (9.825).
- Additionally, Rutgers produced a season-high team score of 48.900 on bars at Maryland.
