IOWA CITY, Iowa – Sophomore Scarlet Knight
Terka Grusova was named Second Team All-Big Ten following the final day of competition at the 2020 Big Ten Swimming & Diving Championships.
Grusova was the silver medalist in the 100 backstroke, the highest finish for a Scarlet Knight since joining the Big Ten, and also had podium finishes with the 200 free and 400 free relay teams in addition to a B finals appearance in the 200 back.
In both the 200 and 400 free relays, Grusova helped the Rutgers to a new school records in the event besting the previous 200 free relay record set in 2006 and 400 free relay record established in 2017.
The Czech Republic native also helped the 200 medley relay team to its best time of the season and was a member of the 400 medley relay squad that was .13 seconds off the school record with the fourth fastest back spilt of the relay.
Several Scarlet Knights will be back in the pool on Friday, Feb. 28 at the Liberty Last Chance Meet.
