Feb 25 | Women's Golf
PISCATAWAY – Head Women's Golf Coach Kari Williams announced today that Annalie Swanepoel has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Rutgers University and compete for the Scarlet Knights. A native of Stellenbosch, Western Cape Province, South Africa, Swanepoel has achieved a World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) of 1360.
"We are excited to welcome Annalie to our program.," said Williams. "She has a great work ethic and passion for her academics and golf, which complements our team well. Annalie is very athletic and I look forward to seeing the continued growth of her game before she joins us here 'On the Banks."

Interested in computer science and accepted into the Rutgers University Honors College, Swanepoel attended Somerset College, a private high school located on South Africa's Western Cape. She becomes the program's second Honors College student in as many years, following current freshman Nicole Ewing.
Swanepoel captured the Western Province Women's Amateur Championship this past March. After two rounds of stroke play, she entered match play as the fifth seed and defeated the fourth, first and third seeds for the title. Swanepoel also placed 10th at the 2019 Free State Championship with a 230 (79-77-74) and fifth at the 2019 Nomads Western Province Junior Championship with a 229 (76-76-77).
After competing in two events to begin their spring season, the Scarlet Knights returns to the links at the Juli Inkster at Meadow Club Invitational in Fairfax, Calif., March 9-10.
