NOTRE DAME, Ind. – Rutgers junior
Perry Christie turned in a school-record performance as the men's and women's track and field completed the final day of competition at the Meyo Invitation on the campus of Notre Dame on Saturday, Feb. 8. Click the following

Christie cleared a height of 2.23m (7' 3.75") to win the event and establish a school record. With that height, the East Orange, N.J. native ranks seventh in the NCAA.
The Scarlet Knights posted a total seven finishes in the top-5 of their respective events. Junior
Taj Burgess kept the momentum of his record-setting indoor season going with a second-place showing in the championship 400m. Burgess clocked a time of 46.64.
Burgess was part of the third-place 4x400m relay team, joining sophomores
Nadale Buntin and
Jameson Woodell, and junior
Semaj Willis to run a time of 3:09.53.
Sophomore A'Nan Bridgett took third in the long jump, recording a distance of 7.48m (24' 6.5").
A pair of Scarlet Knights turned in solid performances in the high jump in addition to Christie with junior
Qayyim Ali and Willis tying for fifth place in the event. The each cleared a height of 2.01m (6' 7") to give Rutgers three finishes in the top-5.
Junior
Olympia Martin clocked a time of 4:51.95 to finish fifth in the mile run, while freshman
Claudine Smith finished eighth in the triple jump with a distance of 11.96m (39' 3").
Rutgers will next compete at the Tyson Invitational on the campus of Arkansas on Friday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, Feb. 15.
