PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers sophomore swimmer
Terka Grusova has been selected to the 2020 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships and will compete in the 100 back on Friday, March 20 and 200 back on Saturday, March 21.
Grusova will be making her second appearance at the NCAA championships having qualified in both the 100 and 200 back as a freshman last season.
The Jablonec nad Nisou, Czech Republic native is seeded 19th in the 100 back following her runner-up Big Ten Championship performance in the event with a time of 52.31. She enters the 200 back seeded 49th capturing a time of 1:55.73 in the prelims of the Big Ten Championships.
A Second Team All-Big Ten honoree, Grusova captured silver in the 100 back at the Big Ten Swimming & Diving Championship in late February marking the highest finish for a Scarlet Knight since joining the conference. Additionally, Grusova had podium finishes with the 200 and 400 free relays with new school records and made a B finals appearance in the 200 back stroke at the championships.
During the 2019-20 season, Grusova won the 100 back five times in meets and set the Rutgers Aquatics Center record in the event.
