Women’s Lacrosse Welcomes Lafayette Tuesday Under the Lights

Scarlet Knights take on Leopards at 6 p.m. at SHI Stadium

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's lacrosse (4-4) plays its first home game under the lights at SHI Stadium in 2020 when it hosts Lafayette (4-2) on Tuesday in Piscataway. The 6 p.m. game will stream live via BTNPlus, with Lou Brogno on the call.
 
What to Know
• The Scarlet Knights are in search of their fifth consecutive win over the Leopards, as RU leads the all-time series, 12-7. Last season, Samantha Budd scored a career-high eight goals – including the game-winner with less than a minute to go – to defeat Lafayette, 16-15, in Easton, Pennsylvania.
• RU dropped a 16-5 game with No. 16 James Madison on Saturday in its last time out. Freshman Cassidy Spilis registered her eighth consecutive multi-goal outing to begin the season, as RU faced the first of five ranked opponents during its next six games.
• Spilis has been one of the top scorers in the country this season. Her team-high 23 goals leads the Big Ten Conference and is 14th nationally, as the Tabernacle, New Jersey native also owns a 3.14 goals-per-game average.
• Classmate Alonna Gliksman has produced an impressive rookie campaign between the pipes for the Scarlet Knights. Gliksman is seventh in the country with 74 stops and is also within the Top-30 in saves-per-game and save percentage. Gliksman owns 10 or more saves in four games thus far in 2020.
• Sophomore Marin Hartshorn leads the program with 13 helps, which includes two games of four or more assists. Hartshorn is third in the conference and 24th nationally in that category.
• Junior Taralyn Naslonski is also in the Top-30 nationally in scoring with her 19 goals and three helpers.
 
Scouting Lafayette
• The Leopards are 4-2 this season, which includes 12-9 loss to Mount Saint Mary's at home on Saturday. Sophomore Olivia Cunningham netted five goals and an assist for a game-high six points in the loss.
• Cunningham leads the team with 26 points on 18 goals and eight assists this season. Lacy Quin has started all six games at goalie, and owns an 8.02 goals-against average and a .524 save percentage.
• Lafayette is led by first-year head coach Katie McConnell.
• Current assistant Ana White spent the past five seasons on staff at Lafayette, played collegiately for the Leopards and was an all-conference student-athlete during her time in Easton.
