PISCATAWAY, N.J. –  Rutgers gymnastics is set for its 2021 season opener on Saturday, Jan. 23 at the RAC. The 1 p.m. meet will include Illinois with the new addition of Maryland to the competition
 
The Scarlet Knights are now slated to meet the Terrapins three times this season, again in Piscataway on Jan. 30 at 1 p.m. followed by a trip College Park on Mar. 3 at 5 p.m. It will be the sole meeting of the year with Illinois for RU.
 
All events at Rutgers Athletics indoor competition venues will operate in accordance with current statewide restrictions on indoor gatherings. As a result, gymnastics meets will not be open to the public this season. 
 
Other new confirmed dates and times for Rutgers meets this year include Sunday, Feb. 7 at Nebraska with 5 p.m. ET start. As well as, Saturday, Feb. 20 at Minnesota with a 6 p.m. start on ESPNU.
