WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The No. 4 Purdue Boilermakers were fresh off an upset loss to Illinois and came back to sweep Rutgers volleyball, 25-6, 25-17, 25-15 on Saturday night at Holloway Gymnasium.
The Scarlet Knights, who have opened Big Ten play playing three top 25 squads in their first four match-ups, dropped to 8-7 overall. Purdue, who received its highest ranking in school history before Friday's setback with the Fightin' Illini, improved to 11-2 on the year.

- Set 1 (6-25) | The Boilermakers came out on fire with the game's first 10 points and limited the Scarlet Knights to just three kills.
- Set 2 (17-25) | Rutgers kept it close early with Cansu Gunaydin delivering a kill for a 4-4 tie. Purdue, however, responded with four-straight and a 9-2 run to go ahead. Beka Kojadinovic led RU with three kills.
- Set 3 (15-25) | The Scarlet Knights once again kept the set close early with five ties including an Anastasiia Maksimova swing that knotted the score at 7-7. The Boilermakers took the next five ÂÂÂand 12 of the next 13 points to take control. Kojadinovic collected four kills in the frame.

- The Scarlet Knights are back home at the RAC to host Indiana on Friday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. and welcome No. 12 Nebraska on Sunday, Oct. 10 at 1 p.m.
