"I'm just so proud of this team. There's fight, there's grit. We talked about Jersey pride. We don't quit. We knew from the start that it was gonna be a battle. Two undefeated teams left in the Big Ten. We knew that we wanted to come out on top. You could see we put in all the work and there was no one who was stopping us today," said senior captain Gabby Provenzano.
"We were tied at half, then we came out strong. We got one goal and it kept rolling from there. The momentum we had and always supporting each other. We always want the best for our team, we will do anything for our team so I feel that is why we keep rolling," said senior captain Amirah Ali.
The Scarlet Knights improved to 10-2 overall and 5-0 in the Big Ten, handing the Wolverines just their second loss of the year for an overall mark of 8-2-3 and 2-1-1 in the conference.
Freshman Riley Tiernan led the way with a goal and two assists in the match. Seniors Gabby Provenzano, Frankie Tagliaferri and Amirah Ali each contributed a goal. Freshman Kylie Daigle and Tagliaferri added assists as well.
