HAMILTON, N.Y. - Fresh off the season-opening victory at Army, the Rutgers women's swimming team was back in the pool the following two days at the Colgate Invitational.
Getting a feel for championship season with 13 Scarlet Knight swimmers competing on multiple days, RU had an early season endurance test and picked up seven victories along the way in their second-place showing.

- Alice Scarabelli earned four first-place victories in the 100 and 200 free as well with the 400 free and medley relay squads.
- Sofia Chichaikina also collected wins as part of the relay squads in addition to her top time in the 50 free and was the runner-up in the 100 and 200 free, as well as the 100 fly.
- Also adding to the event victory total were Cat Salladin in the 500 free and Beatriz Zoppeidossantos in the 100 fly.
- Rutgers dominated the freestyle as the Scarlet Knights went 1-2-3 in both the 50 and 100 free.
- Chichaikina led the way in the 50 free touching the wall first in a time of 23.97, while Giulia Ghidini was the runner-up clocking in at 24.19 and followed by Beatriz Zoppeiddosantos in third in 24.43.
- Scarabelli was the top Scarlet Knight to the wall in the 100 free logging a time of 51.36 followed by Chichiakina in second in 52.00 and Ghidini in third at 52.39.
- Scarabelli also picked up her second 200 free top time of the season clocking in at 1:52.01 and out-touching runner-up Chichaikina by .14 seconds.
- Beatriz Zoppeiddosantos added a win in the 100 fly with her time of 56.28 with Chichaikina picking up another runner-up performance with her time of 56.80.
- Other notable performances including a runner-up finish for Tina Celik in the 100 breast with a time of 1:04.47 and Zoppeidosantos taking third in the 200 fly in 2:08.15
- Cat Salladin outpaced the field by nearly 13 seconds to take first in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:09.93. Â

- The Scarlet Knight women's swimming & diving team travels to Purdue for a Big Ten matchup on Friday, Oct. 29 and will also meet up with IUPUI on Saturday, Oct. 30.
