The five things to know before the Scarlet Knights face the Seawolves at Jersey Mike's Arena
PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers women's basketball (3-0) hosts Stony Brook (3-0) in a battle of early unbeatens on Tuesday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. inside Jersey Mike's Arena and live on B1G+.

Rutgers ranked fourth in the NCAA last season in steals per game, and with a new-look roster, continues the trend into 2021-22 with a No. 4 national rank with 42 total steals through Nov. 14. Sayawni Lassiter leads the defense with 4.0 steals per game, ranking 17th in the country. The 41.7ppg scoring defense ranks 14th in the nation and tops in the Big Ten as Rutgers looks to lead the conference in that defensive metric for the third consecutive season.
It's been three games, and three different starting lineups for the Scarlet Knights. In all three victories, no less than 10 different Rutgers players have contributed to the scoring, and all three games had a different scoring leader (Liz Martino, Stephanie Guihon, and Victoria Morris). Those three join Sakima Walker, Osh Brown, and Sayawni Lassiter as the six Scarlet Knights averaging 6.0 or more points per game through three contests.
When RU takes the court at the newly named Jersey Mike's Arena, the program will carry a 231-51 record on its home court since the 2002-03 season. The Scarlet Knights are 52-8 at Jersey Mike's Arena over the past four-plus seasons.
Rutgers won all four of its regular season non-conference games last season and have won 13 consecutive regular season non-conference contests since the 2019-20 season. Rutgers has won its last 12 regular season dating back to last winter after winning nine straight in the Big Ten last season, the program's longest winning streak since joining the conference. The Scarlet Knights had their first nine-game conference winning streak since the perfect 16-0 Big East season of 2005-06, which was an actual 24-game Big East streak going back to '04-05.
