
Rowing Set for Princeton Chase

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – Rutgers rowing is set for its first Fall event since 2019. The Scarlet Knights will enter the 2021 Princeton Chase on Sunday, Nov. 7 on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, New Jersey, marking its first competition of the 2021-22 season.
Rutgers will compete in the Varsity 8+ races at 10 a.m. and 12:10 p.m., and will enter the Varsity 4+ at 1:05 p.m. Live results will be available at Regatta Timing.
The Scarlet Knights will gear up for the Spring 2022 season competing against top-level programs at the Princeton Chase, including Princeton, Brown, Radcliffe, George Washington, Rhode Island, Syracuse, and UPenn.
CRCA Regional Coach of the Year Justin Price led the Scarlet Knights to a seventh place national finish at the 2021 NCAA Championships. The Varsity 8 boat placed fifth in country in the grand final of the national regatta. The Scarlet Knights produced its best performance at the Big Ten Championships with program records in team finish (third), points (143), medal-winning boats (five), and All-Conference selections (four). The Scarlet Knights ranked as high as No. 4 in the country, the program's best national ranking, while the Varsity 8 boat earned two Big Ten Boat of the Week awards.
