A Dive Squad Sweep, NCAA B Cut, Two Top Ten Times and Three Overall Titles Highlight Big Al Invite Day Two Action

PRINCETON, N.J. – A dive squad sweep, an NCAA B cut, two times among the all-time Rutgers top ten and three titles highlighted day two action for the Rutgers women's swimming & diving team at the Big Al Invitational hosted by Princeton.
| FROM THE POOL DECK |
- A total of eight Scarlet Knights advanced to Saturday finals out of the morning prelims with seven season bests registered on the day.
- A pair of Rutgers rookies were responsible for some of the fastest times in school history. Sofia Lobova captured the third-fastest time in the RU record book in the 100 fly with an NCAA B cut time while Tina Celik swam the seventh fastest time ever at RU in the 100 breast.
- Two titles belonged to Sofia Chichaikina besting the competition in the 200 free along with Virginia Menicucci, Liza Ryndych and Eleonora Trentin in the 800 free relay.
- Additionally, RU went 1-2-3 on 1M with Savana Trueb taking home first place for the first time as a Scarlet Knight.
| SPRINTS |
- The 100 fly saw Rutgers post its first NCAA B cut time of the year with Sofia Lobova's third-place performance of 53.31. The time was also the third fastest on record at Rutgers in the event.
- Tina Celik moved her name up the all-time top 10 list in the 100 breast with her swim of 1:02.68. The third-place time at the invite moved her up into seventh all-time in school history. Beatriz Zoppeidossantos also reached the A final and finished eighth overall recording 56.85.
- Sofia Chichaikina out-touched second place by .05 seconds to win the 200 free in a time of 1:48.15 marking her third victory of the year in the event. She was also joined in the A final by Virginia Menicucci who placed fourth overall hitting the wall in 1:49.60.
| DIVING |
- Savana Trueb won 1m scoring 295.80 with Abigail Knapton taking third with a score of 272.75 and Holly Prasanto rounding out the top three with a 268.25.
| RELAYS |
- The night wrapped up with Rutgers winning the 800 free relay. The squad of Sofia Chichaikina, Virginia Menicucci, Liza Ryndych and Eleonora Trentin teamed up for the top time of 7:22.41.

- The Big Al Invitational finishes on Sunday with platform, 1650 Free, 200 Back, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 200 Fly and 400 Free Relay.
