NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. – The Rutgers volleyball team took the first set against the No. 4 ranked team in the nation on Saturday at the College Ave Gym. The Scarlet Knights were victorious over Nebraska 25-22 to open the contest, but the Cornhuskers came back to win in four taking the next three sets (25-14, 25-14, 25-20).
Nebraska remains undefeated at 6-0 on the year, while Rutgers dropped to 1-7.

- The match endured 25 ties and nine lead changes through the four sets.
- Beka Kojadinovic collected a double-double leading Rutgers in both kills (12) and digs (18).
- In all, four Scarlet Knights were in double-figure digs. In addition to Kojadinovic's 18, Madyson Chitty logged a season-high 16 and Kamila Cieslik and Anastasiia Maksimova both had 11.
- Tina Grkovic captured her first career game in double-figure kills with 11 and added three block assists.
- At the net, Shealyn McNamara made five block assists.
- Inna Balyko contributed 32 assists.
- Set 1 (25-22) | Rutgers hit .400 for a frame to take it's first-ever set over the Cornhuskers. Nebraska led 16-12 when RU surged ahead with an 8-2 run. Grkovic gave the Scarlet Knights the lead off of one of her four kills, while she teamed with Balyko for a stop to give Rutgers a 20-18 edge. While Nebraska got the next point from one of Lauren Strivens' 15 kills, the Cornhuskers drew no closer.
- Set 2 (14-25) | Yana Kamshilina came off the bench for a pair of aces for an early 4-0 Scarlet Knight lead, however the set would go on for seven ties and five lead changes. A Grkovic swing knotted the score at 12-12 before Nebraska pushed forward.
- Set 3 (14-25) The set was tied at 7-7, however, Nebraska scored four answered to take control and finished the set on a 9-2 run.
- Set 4 (20-25) | Grkovic made five kills and swung .571 as the two squads battled seven ties. RU opened with the 6-3 advantage, but Nebraska used an 8-2 run to take over the lead. The Cornhuskers led by no more than three until late in the set while a Kojadinovic attack led to an 18-18 tie. Â
- Kojadinovic logged a career-high 18 digs surpassing her previous best of 16 in last year's victory over Northwestern (10/27/19).
- Kojadinovic's double-double was her second of the season and eighth of her career.
- RU's 66 digs were the second most by the squad in a Big Ten matchup.

- The Rutgers volleyball team is back out onto the road to meet Iowa on Friday, Feb. 19 and Saturday, Feb. 20. Both games of the series are slated for 4 p.m. (CT) /5 p.m. (ET).
