PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's soccer opens its 2021 spring season on Friday, Feb. 19, hosting Penn State for a 12 p.m. ET. Due to the weather, the match will be located off campus at the Iron Peak Sports & Events facility in Hillsborough, N.J.

- Rutgers returns 16 letterwinners and adds 10 newcomers to the 2020-21 roster. Of the returners, eight were starts last season.
- Senior forwards Amirah Ali and Nneka Moneme, and junior goalkeeper Meagan McClelland were tabbed 2020-21 Big Ten Players to Watch.
- Ali was named the 2020-21 MAC Hermann Trophy Watchlist for the second consecutive season, having been named a semifinalist in 2019.
- The incoming class is ranked No. 8 nationally among all 2020-21 recruiting classes, marking the highest ranked class in the Big Ten this season.
- Rutgers posted an overall record of 15-4-2 in 2019, which included a program best 14 regular season victories. A Big Ten mark of 8-2-1 for RU matched the most conference victories in a season.
- For the second consecutive year, Rutgers finished second in the league, earning the No. 2 seed in its sixth Big Ten Tournament and advancing to its third semifinal. The squad went on to secure a bid to its eighth straight NCAA Tournament, 10th in the last 12 years, and 14th overall.
All events at Rutgers Athletics events for the 2020-21 competition year will operate in accordance with current statewide restrictions on indoor and outdoor public gatherings. As a result, soccer games will not be open to the public this season.
