Ron Harper Jr. Named NABC All-District Second Team

PISCATAWAY, N.J. - Rutgers men's basketball junior Ron Harper Jr. earned another accolade, as he was named Second Team All-District by the NABC. The junior was also named Third Team All-Big Ten, was named as a Finalist for the Julius Erving Award and was on the Watch List for the Wooden Award.
Harper Jr. leads the Scarlet Knights at 15.4 points per game. He has posted double figures in 20 games, including seven games of 20 or more points. The Franklin Lakes, N.J. native shot 45.6 percent from the field, 10th in the Big Ten.
In his last game, Harper Jr. paced the Scarlet Knights with 21 points versus Illinois, becoming the 45th Scarlet Knight to reach 1,000 career points. The Don Bosco Prep product reached that milestone in his 87th career game.
