PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's soccer (3-4-0) dropped a 3-0 final score to No. 9 Indiana on Friday afternoon at Yurcak Field.
The Scarlet Knights and Hoosiers tied in shots 10-10, with RU ahead 5-4 in shots on goal, but Indiana made their chances count with an early opening goal in the sixth minute, and a pair of second-half insurance markers in the 63
rd and 80
th minutes.
Freshman forward
Moussa Sabaly led the Rutgers offensive opportunities with three shots on goal, all turned away by Indiana's Roman Celentano, who broke a tie with RU's
Oren Asher and now leads the Big Ten with four shutouts.

Jackson Temple and freshman forward
Colin Beasley placed the other two shots on target.

Ola Maeland made his first collegiate start, while sophomore
Keegan Vedder made his season debut in the second half.
The Scarlet Knights head back out on the road to Maryland on Tuesday, March 23 at 12 p.m. ET in a rematch airing live on Big Ten Network. Rutgers defeated the Terrapins, 2-0, at home earlier this season for its first win over Maryland since 1995.
