Men’s Golf Set for Irish Creek Intercollegiate

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers men's golf continues its spring season at the Irish Creek Intercollegiate from April 2-3 in Kannapolis, North Carolina. The three-round, 54-hole tournament, hosted by Charlotte and Davidson, will be played at the The Club at Irish Creek, a par 71, 7,099-yard venue.

Senior Christopher Gotterup added his first top-five finish of the spring with runner-up honors at the Schenkel Invitational on March 21 in Statesboro, Georgia. Gotterup - who was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week for his performance - tied for second in the loaded 80-player field with his five-under-par 211 (71-69-71) at the Forest Heights Country Club. His tied-for-second result marked the eighth top-five individual finish of his collegiate career and his highest finish since he claimed the Fighting Irish Classic on Oct. 8, 2019 in South Bend. As a team, Rutgers tied for seventh in the 13-team field.
