Luke Wells produced a one-over-par 73 to highlight action for Rutgers men's golf during Saturday's second round of the Big Ten Championships, contested at the Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana.
With every team coming in over par due to 20-mile-per-hour wind gusts, the Scarlet Knights are fifth with a 32-over-par 608 (307-301). No. 11 Illinois leads the field with its 18-over-par 594 (300-294), followed by No. 38 Iowa (+20) and Michigan State (+30) and Northwestern (+30). Adrien Dumont de Chassart (Illinois) and Mac Mclear (Iowa) are atop the individual leaderboard with even 144s.

Oliver Whatley and rookie
Rhett Sellers are tied for 16th to lead RU with one round to play. Whatley rolled in three pars to finish the second round with a three-over-par 75, while Sellers finished Saturday with a five-over-par 77 on Saturday. Wells moved up 22 spots on the leaderboard with his one-over-par 73 during round two and is tied with senior
Christopher Gotterup for 21st. Sophomore
Xavier Marcoux is tied for 60th to round out the team scorecard.
Rutgers once again paired with Northwestern and Ohio State for Sunday's final round and will tee off beginning at 8:40 a.m. ET.
