These student-athletes selected Rutgers University for two reasons. The first because it's an outstanding university, and the other is they want to play in the NCAA Tournament. Academically, Rutgers University speaks for itself and on the basketball court, our brand has continued to grow through our consistent performance.

These young people know that we develop student-athletes to the point where they have professional opportunities upon graduation, whether that’s in basketball or in corporate America.

At Rutgers we never want to put players in a box, but each one of these signees has the skillset that satisfies our needs both offensively and defensively. As a collective unit, we are excited that the addition of these incoming student-athletes will help us add to our 26 NCAA Tournament appearances and propel our program to its fourth-straight NCAA Tournament-caliber season.

Four of these six signees have led their previous team in scoring, and all are very talented players. However exciting that is, it’s not just that they were the best scorers on their team, it’s more about being the best fit for our mentality - the ‘Rutgers Way’.

We are excited to get to work this summer as we prepare for the upcoming 2021-22 season! Champions are made when the arena is empty and no one is looking. We believe that each one of these student-athletes has the desire and passion to become champions.
