Women's Swimming & Diving Announces 2021-22 Schedule

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – The Rutgers women's swimming and diving team announced its 2021-22 schedule on Friday. The Scarlet Knights' slate features home meets with Harvard and Villanova and Big Ten meets with Purdue and Nebraska along with the return of the battle for the Cannon Trophy.
The season kicks off with the CSCAA National Collegiate Open Water Swim at Lone Star Lake in Lawrence, Kansas where the top five finishers in the event earn invites to the USA Swimming 5K Open Water Championships.
Dual meets open with a trip to Army West Point on Oct. 7 followed by the Colgate Invite featuring St. Bonaventure, UMass and the host Raiders on Oct. 8-9. The month continues as the Scarlet Knights travel to Purdue for Big Ten competition on Oct. 29 and remain in Indiana to take on IUPUI on Oct. 30.
The Scarlet Knights welcome Harvard to the Rutgers Aquatics Center on Nov. 5 and travel to in-state rival Princeton in the battle for the Cannon Trophy. The Scarlet Knights won the inaugural battle in 2019 keeping the Cannon Trophy, named in honor of the Rutgers-Princeton Cannon War dating back 1875, home "On The Banks".
RU returns to the Princeton campus for the Big Al Invitational held December 1-4 and kicks off the New Year kicks off hosting Villanova on Jan. 17.
Rutgers travels to Nebraska on Jan. 29-30 in its final tune-up before championship season begins.
The 2022 Big Ten Women's Swimming & Diving Championships will be held at the Nicholas Recreation Center on the campus of the University of Wisconsin on Feb. 17-20.
NCAA Zone A Diving Championships will be held at the US Naval Academy on Mar. 7-9 and NCAA Championships take place Mar. 16-19 at the McAuley Aquatic Center at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia.
