Tennis Splits Weekend Home and Away

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers tennis starts its weekend at home, hosting NJIT on Friday, January 28 for a 12 p.m. ET match at the East Brunswick Racquet Club. The match will stream live through Playsight and will be accompanied by live results.
The Scarlet Knights then travel to Penn for its first road match of the year on Sunday, January 29. The contest is set to begin at 12 p.m. ET.
Fans are required to wear a mask while indoor the East Brunswick Racquet Club.
Rutgers opened the season with a 6-1 victory over Army, claiming the doubles point and five singles wins in the match. Freshman Jackeline Lopez and Minchae Kim each contributed a doubles win and singles win in their debuts as Scarlet Knights.
Senior Tess Fisher and Kim recorded a win at the No. 1 doubles spot, while sophomore Alisa Prinyarux and Lopez added a victory at the No. 3 doubles position. Senior Sydney Kaplan and Kristiana Zahare, and sophomore Daira Cardenas registered singles wins for RU.
