Women’s Golf Opens Spring with Big Ten Match Play

PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Rutgers women's golf opens its spring season at the 2022 Big Ten Match Play on Monday and Tuesday in Palm Harbor, Florida. The two-day, three-round tournament will be contested at the Innisbrook-Island Golf Course, a par 72, 6,344-yard venue.
Played as a bracket-style match play event, the Scarlet Knights face Iowa in the opening round.

Rutgers competed in four events during the 2021 fall season, as junior Leigha Devine and sophomore Rikke Nordvik led the team with two top-20 finishes apiece. Devine, who was named the 2021 Colorado Golf Association's Women's Player of the Year, carded her best outing at the Nittany Lion Invitational when she produced a three-over-par 219 (72-71-76) en route to a tied-for-11th result on Sept. 5 in State College. Nordvik opened the season with back-to-back top-20 finishes, which included a tied-for-15th showing at the Nittany Lion Invitation.
